Middle Atlantic states can expect dry conditions over the next 72 hours after several days of rainfall. Rivers will continue to recede as no significant rainfall is forecasted.
According to the National Weather Service, rainfall totals over the last 72 hours ranged from 0.5 to 2.5 inches across areas of the Potomac and James river basins. While small rises were observed, no flooding was reported. Across the Susquehanna and Delaware basins, rainfall remained below 0.25 inches.
The forecast predicts little to no rain across the Mid-Atlantic, allowing rivers to gradually stabilize. River levels will continue dropping steadily with the extended period of dry weather.
