Paducah, KY – A warm start to the week will shift dramatically as snow showers are forecast to arrive Tuesday night. Residents should prepare for colder temperatures, which may create slick conditions by Wednesday morning.

According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, rain will move in Monday night with a 50% chance of precipitation. Tuesday will start with a slight chance of rain, but as temperatures drop into the upper 20s overnight, the rain is expected to transition into snow. Snow showers may linger into early Wednesday morning, potentially creating hazardous roadways across the area, particularly along I-24 and local routes.

Temperatures Tuesday are expected to peak near 50°F before plummeting overnight, with northwest winds at 5 to 9 mph. Wednesday will be noticeably colder, with highs only reaching the low 40s. By Wednesday night, temperatures will drop into the low 20s under mostly clear skies.

Looking ahead, Thursday and Friday are expected to remain dry but cold, with highs in the upper 30s and low 40s. A chance of showers returns Friday night and could persist into the weekend.

Residents should stay alert to updates on changing road conditions and be cautious while driving during potential snow events.
