Chicago, IL – Rain will sweep through the Chicago area Wednesday night, bringing wet conditions into Thursday morning. According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Chicago, the rain will impact northeastern Illinois and northwest Indiana, peaking in intensity overnight.
NWS forecasts a 70-90% chance of rain Wednesday night, with temperatures ranging between 44 and 49 degrees. By Thursday morning, scattered showers will linger in some areas before tapering off. Highs on Thursday will hover between 52 and 55 degrees, while lows will dip to 37-42 degrees.
By Friday, clear skies and mild temperatures are expected to settle in. Forecasts show highs around 54-58 degrees, with a low in the 34-42 range. Saturday will bring partly cloudy skies and highs between 55 and 59 degrees, as temperatures climb toward the 60-degree mark.
NWS predicts dry, mild conditions for the weekend, offering a respite from midweek showers.
