Hastings, NE – Rainfall continues to affect much of south-central Nebraska today, particularly along and south of Interstate 80. Showers will taper off by evening, clearing the way for a dry forecast into the new work week. Residents should expect highs in the mid-60s, with cooler overnight lows dipping into the 40s. In northern and western areas, temperatures may fall into the 30s.

According to the US National Weather Service in Hastings, these rain showers, which could accumulate between 0.10 to 0.25 inches, mark a significant reduction from earlier predictions. Travelers along I-80 are advised to exercise caution during morning and early afternoon hours due to slick road conditions.

Monday brings sunny skies and warmer temperatures, reaching the low 70s. The rest of the week will maintain dry conditions, with highs climbing to the mid-to-upper 70s by Thursday. Prepare for chilly nights with lows ranging from the mid-40s to 50s.
