According to the NWS, rain will begin late tonight, transitioning to snow in the early hours of Thanksgiving morning. Accumulations are expected to range from 1 to 3 inches across Binghamton, with up to 4 inches in surrounding regions. Motorists along Interstate 81 and Route 17 should prepare for reduced visibility and slick roads during peak travel hours on Thanksgiving morning.
Thanksgiving Day will see rain during the morning, tapering off by the afternoon as temperatures reach a high of 39°F. Winds are expected to pick up, creating blustery conditions. By Thursday night, skies will clear slightly, though overnight lows could drop to 23°F.
Looking ahead, Friday remains chilly but largely dry, with a slight chance of afternoon snow showers and highs near 32°F. Saturday brings partly sunny skies and temperatures peaking at 34°F, while Sunday sees more clouds and highs around 32°F.
