Quad Cities, IL/IA – Sunday offers mild weather for the Quad Cities, but a sharp cold front will usher in cooler air by Monday evening, impacting Thanksgiving week preparations. Temperatures Sunday will reach the mid-50s, ideal for outdoor plans, before dropping into the 40s Monday as brisk northwest winds take hold.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), a cold front will sweep through the region Sunday night, bringing overcast skies and gusty winds into Monday. Highs Monday will top out near 46°F, but wind chills may dip into the 30s. Travelers and outdoor workers should prepare for the colder shift.
Looking ahead to Thanksgiving week, Tuesday offers sunny skies but temperatures will struggle to reach 36°F. Overnight lows could fall to 23°F, creating frosty conditions.
