Davenport, Iowa – Pleasant summer weather is in place across the Quad Cities region today, with highs ranging from 83 to 86 degrees and noticeably lower humidity, offering a comfortable start to July.

According to the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities, this stretch of mild conditions will continue through midweek, with highs in the mid to upper 80s on Wednesday. By Thursday, temperatures begin climbing back into the upper 80s and low 90s, with a few isolated showers possible during the transition to hotter conditions heading into the July 4th weekend.

Residents in Davenport, Moline, Rock Island, and surrounding communities can expect mostly sunny skies and manageable humidity through Wednesday evening. Roads remain dry, and outdoor activities should be ideal, though Thursday may bring brief interruptions due to scattered showers.

The region will see its hottest stretch by Friday, with highs reaching up to 92 degrees just in time for Independence Day festivities. Those planning to attend parades or fireworks displays should stay hydrated and be prepared for warm, muggy conditions.

Humidity and heat are expected to build through the weekend. Additional advisories may be issued as we approach the holiday.
