Denver, CO – A winter storm is set to impact Denver and the surrounding areas on Monday, bringing fresh snowfall and chilly temperatures for President’s Day. Holiday travelers and outdoor event planners should prepare for possible delays and hazardous conditions as snow moves through the region.
According to the National Weather Service, snow is expected to begin early Monday and persist throughout the day. Highs will struggle to reach the mid-30s, while overnight temperatures will drop into the low teens. Slick roads and reduced visibility could create difficult travel conditions, particularly on I-70 and major highways leading into the mountains.
Before Monday’s snowfall, the weekend will bring unsettled weather. Saturday will see a high near 32°F with snow showers likely in the afternoon. Sunday will provide a brief break with mostly sunny skies and a high of 43°F, though temperatures will dip back into the low 20s overnight.
Following Monday’s snow, colder temperatures will settle in for the remainder of the week. Tuesday’s high will only reach the upper teens, with another chance of snow Tuesday night. Residents should plan ahead for icy conditions and bundle up as winter weather remains in full force.
