Portland, Oregon – A stretch of unseasonably warm and sunny weather is setting up in Portland, with temperatures expected to reach 91°F by Tuesday, making it one of the hottest periods of the summer so far.

According to the National Weather Service in Portland, daytime highs will gradually climb through the weekend—reaching near 79°F on Saturday, 84°F on Sunday, and peaking at 88°F Monday before topping out at 91°F Tuesday. Skies will remain clear to mostly clear each night, with light northwest winds and overnight lows in the mid-50s to low 60s.

The clear skies and calm winds will provide comfortable mornings but increasingly hot afternoons, especially Monday and Tuesday. While no excessive heat alerts are currently in effect, residents are urged to stay hydrated, limit outdoor activity during peak heat hours, and check on vulnerable neighbors.

In Vancouver and areas across the Willamette Valley, similar temperature spikes are expected, with little relief overnight. This warming trend comes as the region enters what is historically one of its driest periods.

Temperatures are expected to dip slightly into the mid-80s by Wednesday, but sunny skies will persist.
