Phoenix, AZ – Cooler temperatures and showers are expected to hit the Phoenix area as a low-pressure system moves through the region on Friday. Residents should prepare for significant changes, with rain, localized breezy conditions, and a drop in temperatures from recent highs. Winds could gust between 20-35 mph in some areas.

According to the National Weather Service in Phoenix, Friday’s temperatures are expected to dip to 91 degrees, followed by 87 on Saturday as the system moves east. The coolest areas will likely be higher terrain regions and near Joshua Tree National Park, which has a 50% chance of seeing more than 0.25 inches of rain.

Residents should stay alert for potential showers and cooler temperatures. It is advised to avoid outdoor activities in exposed areas during gusty conditions and to monitor weather updates closely. By Sunday, temperatures will rebound to the mid-90s, with hotter conditions returning early next week.
