Phoenix, AZ Weather Alert: 80° Highs Near I-10 All Week

Phoenix, Arizona – Unseasonably warm and dry conditions are expected to persist across much of central and southwestern Arizona throughout the week, according to the National Weather Service Phoenix office.

Forecast data shows afternoon high temperatures climbing into the low to mid-80s across the Phoenix metro area from Monday through Saturday. Phoenix is expected to reach 80 to 82 degrees most days, with some locations such as El Centro, Yuma, and Globe reaching the low to mid-80s, well above early February averages.

The National Weather Service reports that high pressure remains firmly in control, limiting cloud cover and keeping conditions dry. The probability of Phoenix reaching 80 degrees or warmer exceeds 90% early in the week, peaking near 100% midweek before slightly tapering later in the week.

Nighttime lows will remain seasonable to mild, generally ranging from the mid-40s to mid-50s, offering limited overnight relief from the extended warmth. The combination of warm afternoons and continued dry air increases the importance of hydration, particularly for those spending extended time outdoors.

Areas along Interstate 10 through Phoenix and Buckeye, Interstate 17 toward Anthem, and Loop 202 and Loop 101 in the East Valley will experience the warmest daytime conditions, especially during peak afternoon hours. While no heat advisories are in effect, the National Weather Service advises residents to take breaks in the shade and drink plenty of water, particularly during outdoor work or recreation.

This early-season warmth may be especially noticeable for outdoor workers, hikers, runners, and commuters, as well as those participating in prolonged outdoor events.

Forecasters note that warm February patterns can accelerate early-season heat acclimation risks, even without extreme temperatures.

Residents are encouraged to monitor daily forecasts and practice heat safety habits throughout the week as the warm pattern continues across the region.
