Phoenix, AZ – An Excessive Heat Warning has been issued for the Phoenix metro area, beginning Wednesday and continuing through Sunday. Temperatures are expected to challenge records, with daytime highs ranging from 105°F to 111°F. Nighttime lows will stay warm, between 75°F and 84°F, providing little relief.

According to the National Weather Service, residents along major highways, including I-10 and I-17, should take precautions. With heat stress and heat-related illnesses posing a serious threat, it’s crucial to stay hydrated and avoid direct sunlight from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Cooling centers are available across the region, with free transportation provided by Arizona 211 for those without air conditioning.
