Philadelphia, PA – Residents across Southeastern Pennsylvania can expect a chilly and breezy Friday, with high temperatures only reaching 36 degrees. Winds will range from 10 to 15 mph, with occasional gusts near 25 mph, creating a brisk start to the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will begin to climb on Saturday, reaching a more comfortable high of 39 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Winds will ease to around 10 mph, providing calmer outdoor conditions. By Sunday, even milder weather will settle in, with highs around 51 degrees and plenty of sunshine.
However, conditions will shift on Monday as a strong system moves into the area, bringing widespread rain. Showers are expected to develop early Monday morning, with up to 0.5 inches of rainfall possible by midday. Drivers should anticipate slick roads on I-95 and surrounding roadways during the morning commute. The wet weather may continue into Tuesday, with a chance of thunderstorms.
Temperatures through early next week will remain unseasonably warm, peaking at 60 degrees by Tuesday afternoon before dropping again midweek. Wednesday will bring cooler conditions, with highs around 40 degrees and a lingering chance of rain.
Residents are encouraged to layer up for today’s cold and windy conditions and plan outdoor activities for Sunday’s warmer, sunnier weather. Those commuting Monday should monitor weather updates for potential delays.
