Pittsburgh, PA – A winter storm warning remains in effect for southwestern Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia, with snow and hazardous road conditions continuing through 9 a.m. Monday.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Pittsburgh, the higher elevations of Westmoreland and Fayette counties, along with areas in Preston and Tucker counties, are expected to see an additional 1 to 2 inches of snow. Blowing snow may reduce visibility, creating challenging travel conditions.

The storm is impacting communities including Donegal, Terra Alta, and Kingwood. Roads, bridges, and overpasses are likely to become slick, posing risks during the Monday morning commute. The NWS advises drivers to exercise caution and allow extra time for travel.

To report snow or ice accumulations, residents can contact the NWS by calling 412-262-1988 or posting on the agency’s social media pages.

Stay updated by monitoring local weather reports and avoid unnecessary travel until conditions improve.
