Pittsburgh, PA – Warmer weather is making a comeback across western Pennsylvania, with high temperatures expected to reach the low- to mid-70s by Sunday in several cities, including Pittsburgh and Latrobe. This warming trend offers a welcome shift after a cooler stretch to start the week.

According to the National Weather Service Pittsburgh, temperatures will gradually rise from Thursday through the weekend. Pittsburgh is forecast to climb from a high of 58°F on Thursday to 74°F by Sunday. Latrobe will follow a similar trajectory, peaking at 73°F Sunday after reaching 71°F Saturday. Cities like New Castle and Washington are also expected to reach the low 70s over the weekend.

While the warmer air brings springlike relief, some rain chances will accompany the temperature rise—particularly on Friday and Saturday. The precipitation is welcome for areas that have seen below-average rainfall in recent weeks.

Travelers and residents should be prepared for changing conditions, especially during the transition period on Friday. Light rain may lead to slick roads. Layering clothing is recommended as morning temperatures will still be cool.

This brief warm-up is expected to last through Sunday, with a return to seasonal temperatures possible early next week.
