Philadelphia, PA – Drivers across southeastern Pennsylvania should prepare for slick roads and gusty winds Thursday afternoon as a storm system moves through. Daytime highs near 75°F won’t keep things dry—showers are expected to arrive after 2 p.m., accompanied by wind gusts up to 20 mph.

According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, a 40% chance of precipitation could make for a soggy commute across I-95, I-76, and local routes. Rainfall amounts will be light, but enough to reduce visibility and create patchy wet conditions during peak travel hours. North winds between 5 to 10 mph will shift to the south by evening.

Showers may linger into Friday morning, with another 50% chance of rain, but skies are expected to clear as the weekend approaches. Saturday night will be mostly clear, with lows in the mid-50s. By Sunday, Philadelphia warms to 73°F under mostly sunny skies—a true summer preview.

Monday and Tuesday bring full sun and highs climbing from 76°F to 81°F. Expect pleasant conditions early next week, perfect for outdoor plans and Memorial Day week wrap-ups. No severe weather is in the forecast through Tuesday.
