PITTSBURGH, PA – Spring weather in western Pennsylvania will bring rain, gusty winds, and fluctuating temperatures this weekend before improving conditions next week. Residents should prepare for soggy conditions Saturday before a drier and warmer pattern returns.

According to the National Weather Service, Saturday will see rain showers, mainly between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., with a high near 52°F. Winds will shift from the southwest at 14-17 mph before strengthening to gusts of up to 28 mph by the afternoon. Rainfall totals will remain light, with most areas receiving less than a tenth of an inch.

Saturday night will be partly cloudy with temperatures dropping to 28°F, accompanied by northwesterly winds of 5-10 mph. Sunday brings a mix of sun and clouds, with showers possible in the afternoon and a high near 56°F. Rain chances increase Sunday night with heavier showers expected after 8 p.m.

Monday continues the wet trend, with morning showers likely before clearing in the afternoon. Temperatures will reach 57°F, making it the warmest day of the five-day forecast. Cooler temperatures return by midweek, with highs in the low 50s and overnight lows near freezing.
