Philadelphia, PA – A round of spring showers and gusty winds will hit Pennsylvania on Thursday, bringing rain, strong breezes, and a noticeable cooldown for the weekend. Residents should prepare for wet roadways, especially along I-95, as rain chances increase throughout the day.

According to the National Weather Service, patchy drizzle will start early Thursday before heavier rain moves in after 2 p.m. Winds will shift from the south to the northwest by the evening, reaching gusts of up to 30 mph. Temperatures will peak near 68°F before dropping into the upper 30s overnight. Rainfall could total between a half and three-quarters of an inch, making for a slick evening commute.

By Friday, skies will clear, but cooler temperatures will settle in. Highs will only reach 53°F, with breezy conditions continuing. Saturday remains partly sunny with a high near 60°F, while Sunday brings another chance of rain and a daytime high of 54°F.

Looking ahead, next week starts wet, with rain likely Monday and Tuesday. Highs will hover in the low 60s, reinforcing an unsettled start to spring.

Drivers should allow extra travel time Thursday afternoon, as reduced visibility and wet roads could slow commutes. Stay updated with local forecasts and be prepared for fluctuating conditions as spring takes hold in Pennsylvania.
