Damascus Township, PA – Authorities are renewing efforts to solve a decades-old homicide case with a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
Pennsylvania State Police Troop R – Honesdale responded to a residential fire on River Road in Damascus Township on August 28, 1997, at approximately 1:30 a.m. After firefighters extinguished the blaze, the remains of 43-year-old Patricia Woll were discovered inside the residence.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the fire was determined to be arson, and Woll’s death was ruled a homicide. Despite an extensive investigation, no arrests have been made in the case.
