Paducah, KY – Showers and thunderstorms will affect parts of Southeast Missouri, southern Illinois, and western Kentucky today, primarily along Interstate 57 and Interstate 24. The forecast also predicts a few thunderstorms in the Ozark Foothills of Missouri. The storms will taper off by Sunday. Monday should see similar conditions in Southeast Missouri, particularly the Ozark area, while other regions will remain warm and dry.
According to the National Weather Service, showers will mostly stay near the far southwestern parts of Kentucky and Illinois. Rain chances diminish as you move further west and north, making it drier in central areas of the region. Temperatures will hover between the low 80s and high 80s throughout the work week, reaching near 90 degrees by Friday.
Sunshine is expected to dominate much of the week across Missouri and Illinois. Cooler evenings will provide some relief, with temperatures ranging from the mid-50s to the low 60s at night. Despite isolated showers, warm and sunny conditions will persist into next weekend, making for a relatively calm weather pattern.
