Orlando, FL – Spring weather in Florida is bringing warm temperatures and sunshine, but beachgoers should be cautious as rip currents remain a threat along the Atlantic coast. While the next few days will be mostly clear and pleasant, forecasters warn that rough surf could create dangerous conditions for swimmers.

According to the National Weather Service in Melbourne, a moderate risk of life-threatening rip currents will persist through at least Monday, especially along Treasure Coast beaches. Additionally, seas of up to six feet could pose hazards to small boats. Anyone heading to the beach should stay aware of conditions and follow safety guidelines.

Thursday will be sunny in Orlando, with highs near 80°F and light winds shifting southwest by the afternoon. Nights will be mostly clear, with lows around 56°F. The warming trend continues into the weekend, with temperatures reaching 87°F by Saturday.

However, a cold front moving in Sunday night could bring isolated thunderstorms. Forecasters predict a 30% chance of rain Sunday afternoon, increasing to 40% overnight into Monday. Stronger winds, with gusts up to 25 mph, may accompany the storms.

For those traveling or planning outdoor activities, expect mostly dry conditions through Saturday, but keep an eye on changing weather patterns. Boaters should monitor sea conditions, and swimmers should heed lifeguard warnings for rip currents.
