Pendleton, Oregon – Light showers and gusty winds may disrupt outdoor plans in Pendleton starting Friday afternoon, with intermittent rain continuing into Saturday night.

According to the National Weather Service, there’s a 30% chance of rain beginning after 11 a.m. Friday, accompanied by partly sunny skies and a high near 70°F. Winds from the southeast may shift northwesterly in the afternoon, reaching up to 9 mph. Friday night will remain mostly cloudy with a continued chance of rain and lows around 45°F.

By Saturday, conditions will stay unsettled, with a 30% chance of showers and daytime highs dipping slightly to 65°F. Evening lows could fall into the low 40s. While not a washout, periods of wet pavement and occasional gusts could impact drivers and hikers.

Residents planning to travel or spend time outdoors should keep rain gear handy and check for slick roads, especially in the early morning and evening hours.

Though the risk of severe weather is low, more detailed advisories could follow if rain chances increase. Warmer, drier conditions are expected to return by Sunday afternoon.
