Portland, OR – Oregon residents should prepare for a week of intense summer heat as high temperatures are forecast to impact much of the state through Saturday. From the Portland metro area to Medford and Pendleton, the National Weather Service predicts several days of sunny, dry conditions and climbing temperatures.

According to the National Weather Service, today’s highs are expected to reach the upper 80s in Eugene, the low 90s in Pendleton, and near 97 degrees in Medford. Monday will bring even hotter weather, with highs near 91 in Portland, 97 in Pendleton, and up to 103 in Medford. The heat is forecast to peak Tuesday, with some areas like Pendleton expecting highs of 101 degrees.

Clear skies and mild overnight lows will offer some relief, with temperatures dropping to the upper 50s or low 60s statewide. However, hot afternoons will persist, with Medford and Pendleton repeatedly hitting or nearing triple-digit temperatures through midweek. By Wednesday, Portland and Eugene are forecast to see a slight drop, with highs in the upper 70s and low 80s and partly cloudy skies.

Humidity levels will remain moderate, but the consistently dry conditions increase the risk of wildfire activity. According to forecasters, residents should limit outdoor activities during peak afternoon hours and stay hydrated. Authorities also urge extra caution when working or recreating outdoors, especially in central and southern Oregon where the heat will be most severe.

Thursday and Friday will see a modest cool-down, with Portland and Eugene expecting highs in the low-to-mid 80s, while Medford and Pendleton will still be warmer, with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s.
