Eugene, Oregon – Light rain could break Oregon’s sunny streak Thursday morning, with brief showers expected in Eugene before clear skies return by Friday. Temperatures will hold in the upper 60s to mid-70s, setting the stage for a summer-like Memorial Day across Lane County.

According to the National Weather Service in Portland, a 50% chance of showers moves in late Wednesday night into early Thursday. Winds from the southwest may gust lightly, with drier, partly sunny conditions returning by Thursday afternoon. Thursday’s high will reach 65°F in Eugene, slightly cooler than Wednesday’s projected 68°F.

Drivers along I-105 and nearby roadways should anticipate slick pavement through early Thursday, particularly during morning commutes. Winds remain light, but scattered rainfall could reduce visibility. Residents are encouraged to plan indoor activities Thursday morning or wait until late day when the system clears.

By Friday, Eugene dries out with mostly sunny skies and a high near 70°F. Saturday and Sunday trend warmer, with highs in the mid- to upper-70s. Memorial Day (Monday) is shaping up to be sunny and pleasant, with a high of 76°F and no rain in sight.

Looking ahead, temperatures may reach near 79°F by Tuesday, continuing the early summer pattern. No significant weather alerts are expected beyond Thursday’s brief showers, but residents should stay tuned to the NWS for any updates.
