Medford, OR — Rising spring temperatures will greet Medford residents after a foggy start Monday, with clear skies and 80s expected by Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service, patchy fog will linger until 11 a.m. Monday, followed by mostly sunny skies and a high of 74°F. Morning commuters along I-5 through the Rogue Valley should use caution, as visibility may be limited during early hours.

Tuesday brings the week’s warmest weather with highs climbing to 81°F — nearly 20 degrees above average for late March. However, the clear skies won’t last long. Light showers are forecast to return Wednesday, along with a sharp drop in temperature.

Midweek highs will fall back to the low 70s with increased cloud cover and a 30% chance of rain by Wednesday afternoon. Thursday and Friday bring cooler spring air, with highs dipping to the mid-50s and potential snow showers over higher elevations, including areas near Mount Ashland.

By Saturday, snow levels may fall as low as 2500 feet, affecting routes east of Medford. Drivers traveling across the Cascades or into higher terrain should monitor Oregon DOT advisories for updated road conditions.

Residents are advised to layer clothing, especially for cooler mornings and fog. Outdoor plans should be flexible due to midweek precipitation chances.

Stay updated through local forecasts and plan accordingly for a warm start to the week, followed by a return to typical spring variability by Thursday.
