Pendleton, OR – Patchy, freezing fog lingers over the Lower Columbia Basin and Blue Mountain Foothills this morning. Breezy winds continue over the Grande Ronde Valley through the afternoon. By Sunday morning, mountain snow and lower elevation rain will develop, extending through midweek.
According to the National Weather Service, snow levels will range from 4,000 to 5,000 feet Sunday. By Tuesday, levels drop to 3,000-4,000 feet. The Cascades and Blue Mountains’ east and upper slopes may see heavy snowfall.
Monday brings more mountain snow and rain across Oregon’s higher elevations. By Tuesday, colder air lowers snow levels further, increasing the risk of travel disruptions. Wednesday continues with widespread lower elevation rain and lingering mountain snow.
Drivers should prepare for reduced visibility in fog-prone areas today. Those traveling through higher elevations should expect winter driving conditions through midweek.
