Pendleton, OR – Bitterly cold temperatures will grip Eastern Oregon overnight, with wind chills as low as -10°F through Wednesday morning. A Cold Weather Advisoryremains in effect until 8 AM for the Foothills of the Northern Blue Mountains, including Pendleton, Pilot Rock, and Walla Walla.

According to the National Weather Service, dangerously low temperatures could lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Residents should dress in layers, wear hats and gloves, and keep pets indoors.

Looking ahead, temperatures will climb slightly, but snow chances increase Thursday and Friday. Snow is likely after 10 AM Thursday, with minor accumulation expected. By Friday, heavier snowfall is possible, with highs reaching only 32°F.

The weekend forecast includes a mix of rain and snow, with temperatures slowly rising into the upper 30s. Travel conditions could become hazardous, especially in higher elevations.
