By Sunday, Pendleton could reach 99°F under intense sun and still air, prompting heat safety reminders: limit midday activity, stay hydrated, and check on vulnerable neighbors.

The heatwave continues into early next week. Monday stays dangerously hot at 98°F, with only a slight dip to 94°F by Tuesday. Overnight lows remain in the low 60s, offering minimal overnight cooling.
