Medford, OR — A heatwave is forecasted to hit Medford next week, with temperatures reaching the mid-90s. Tuesday is expected to be the hottest day, with a high of 95°F. Conditions will remain sunny throughout the week, pushing daily temperatures into the upper 80s.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Medford, highs will range from 84°F on Sunday to 96°F by Tuesday. Ashland, Grants Pass, and nearby cities in southern Oregon are also projected to see similar heat spikes. Overnight lows will offer some relief, dipping into the 40s and 50s.

Residents are advised to stay hydrated, avoid outdoor activities during peak heat hours, and keep an eye on vulnerable individuals. The NWS also suggests monitoring local air quality as the warmer temperatures may contribute to worsening conditions, especially for sensitive groups.

Temperatures will slightly drop by Friday, with highs around 75°F. However, the region is still advised to take heat precautions early in the week.
