Tulsa, OK – A significant winter storm is set to impact Oklahoma from early Tuesday morning through Wednesday, bringing heavy snow, icy conditions, and hazardous travel across the region. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warningfor northeast Oklahoma, including Tulsa, Bartlesville, and Muskogee, where snowfall totals could reach up to 10 inches.

According to the National Weather Service Tulsa, the storm will begin around 6 a.m. Tuesday and continue through early Wednesday morning. Strong winds may cause blowing and drifting snow, reducing visibility to near zero at times. Areas in southeast Oklahoma, including McAlester and Poteau, are under a Winter Weather Advisory, expecting up to 2 inches of snow and light ice accumulation.

Officials warn that road conditions will deteriorate quickly, and travel could become extremely dangerous. Residents are urged to complete storm preparations by Monday evening, avoid unnecessary travel, and use caution if driving is necessary.

This storm could bring the most significant snowfall of the season to parts of Oklahoma. Power outages are not expected to be widespread but remain a possibility due to strong winds and ice buildup. Stay updated with local forecasts and prepare for potential disruptions.
