Tulsa, OK – A strong winter weather system is set to bring colder temperatures, high winds, and potential snowfall to Oklahoma starting Saturday. Residents should prepare for icy conditions, especially on roads, and remain cautious of wind chills dropping to dangerous levels.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), temperatures will peak near 54°F on Saturday, with a 40% chance of rain. Overnight, winds from the north at 15-20 mph will push temperatures down to 19°F. Sunday will be even colder, with highs near 33°F and gusts up to 25 mph.
The most significant impact will come early next week as another storm system moves in. Monday will be mostly cloudy with a high of 43°F, followed by snow and dangerously cold wind chills on Tuesday. The NWS warns of an 80% chance of snow accumulation, making travel hazardous.
By Wednesday, highs will only reach 20°F, with continued icy conditions. Residents should monitor weather updates and prepare for winter weather disruptions. Stay indoors when possible, bundle up if venturing outside, and check road conditions before traveling.
