Tulsa, OK – Residents in northeast Oklahoma can expect gusty winds and mild temperatures today as a cold front moves through the region. Daytime highs will reach the low-to-mid 50s, but wind gusts of 20-30 mph may create challenging outdoor conditions, especially during the afternoon and evening hours.
According to the National Weather Service in Tulsa, the strongest winds are forecast between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. today. Gusts could peak higher in open areas along I-44 and throughout the northeastern part of the state. The front is expected to pass by late this evening, bringing a slight drop in temperatures for Sunday.
Sunday’s forecast includes sunny skies with cooler high temperatures in the upper 40s. Winds will calm, creating more favorable outdoor conditions. Overnight lows on Sunday could dip to around 29°F, so residents should plan accordingly if traveling or spending extended time outdoors.
Looking ahead, the region is in for a dry and sunny stretch through the middle of next week. Highs will gradually climb into the mid-50s by Tuesday and approach 60°F by Wednesday, offering a warm start to December.
Drivers along I-44 and I-49 should remain cautious of gusty crosswinds today. Secure outdoor objects and limit open-air activities until winds subside this evening.
