Tulsa, OK – Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are moving through eastern Oklahoma this Friday morning. Areas near Tulsa, Muskogee, and McAlester are expected to see light rainfall, with some areas possibly receiving up to half an inch. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Tulsa advises that these storms will persist through mid-morning, tapering off by the afternoon.

According to the NWS, while storm activity remains limited, residents should be aware of slick road conditions, especially on I-35 and surrounding highways. Drivers should reduce speed and maintain extra caution. The chance of rain decreases as we move into the weekend, with Saturday expected to be sunny and warmer.

Looking ahead, temperatures will rise, hitting a high of 92°F by Saturday with mostly clear skies. Sunday will remain hot at 86°F, but cooler weather will arrive by Columbus Day, with highs dropping to 72°F. The beginning of next week will bring much cooler mornings, with lows falling to around 49°F on Monday night.
