Tulsa, Oklahoma – Thunderstorms building in southeast Oklahoma this Wednesday [DAY] could dump up to 2 inches of rain and spark spot flooding across Tulsa County by mid-afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service in Tulsa, a band of strong to severe storms will develop after 10 a.m. Wednesday, with the most intense activity expected between 1 and 6 p.m. Areas along and southeast of U.S. Route 64—including Broken Arrow, Muskogee, and McAlester—face the greatest threat for localized flooding and damaging wind gusts. Spotter activation may be needed.

Showers and storms are likely again Thursday afternoon, with another round possible Friday. Rainfall totals through Friday could reach 3 inches in isolated spots, raising the risk of water over roads. Residents should avoid low-lying areas during downpours and ensure drains are clear ahead of the midweek deluge. If you live in a flood-prone zone, be prepared to move to higher ground.
