Tulsa, OK – Unseasonably warm and dry weather will continue across eastern Oklahoma through the end of the week, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) Tulsa.
Forecasters say highs will remain in the mid-to-upper 70s through Saturday, with southerly winds picking up this afternoon and persisting into midweek. The combination of dry air and gusty winds could lead to limited fire weather concerns, especially across southeastern Oklahoma where conditions are most favorable for grass or brush fires.
While humidity will stay low and winds may gust at times, overall fire danger remains limited thanks to moist fuels in much of the region. Still, residents are urged to avoid outdoor burning and activities that could spark fires during the warm, windy period.
No significant rain is expected through the weekend. Cooler weather is anticipated by Sunday as a cold front moves through, dropping highs into the 60s.
