Tulsa, OK – Eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas are under a cold weather advisory through Wednesday morning, with temperatures expected to plunge into single digits and wind chills falling as low as -2°F. A weak cold front will bring light snow showers Monday evening, primarily west of Tulsa, with little to no accumulation.

According to the National Weather Service, the best chance for snow is along Highway 75 and I-35, though impacts are expected to be minimal. However, the frigid temperatures remain a major concern. Residents are advised to limit outdoor exposure, cover exposed skin, and dress in layers to prevent frostbite, which can occur in as little as 30 minutes in these conditions.

Tuesday will see highs around 30°F, but the wind chill will make it feel much colder, with calm winds expected to shift south by evening. The cold will ease by midweek, with temperatures climbing into the 40s by Thursday and reaching the 50s on Friday.

For those traveling, be prepared for slick spots Monday evening due to light snow, particularly west of Tulsa. Emergency officials remind drivers to slow down and check for updates on road conditions.
