Cincinnati, OH – A winter weather advisory remains in effect for parts of Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana, with snow and freezing rain expected to impact travel through Wednesday morning and into the evening in some areas.

According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, additional snowfall of up to one inch and a light glaze of ice are possible across the affected regions. The advisory is in effect until 11 a.m. EST for much of central, southwest, and south-central Ohio, as well as parts of northern Kentucky and southeast Indiana. Meanwhile, another advisory for western Ohio, including Auglaize, Darke, Hardin, Logan, Mercer, and Shelby counties, will take effect from noon Wednesday until 4 a.m. Thursday.

The hazardous conditions are expected to impact both the morning and evening commutes. Roads may become slippery, and drivers are urged to slow down and use caution.

For real-time road conditions, officials recommend visiting OHGO for Ohio updates, GOKY for Kentucky roads, and 511IN for Indiana traffic alerts.

This latest winter system continues a stretch of unsettled weather, with colder temperatures and additional precipitation possible later in the week.
