Cleveland, Ohio – Drivers across northeast Ohio and nearby northwest Pennsylvania could encounter brief snow flurries early Saturday morning before conditions improve later in the day, though colder air will keep temperatures well below recent highs.
According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, lingering gusty winds will gradually weaken this morning as winds shift northwest at 5 to 10 mph. A few light snow showers and flurries are expected across northwest Pennsylvania early in the day, particularly near Erie, Meadville, and Edinboro, but those should diminish by around noon.
Across northeast Ohio, cities including Cleveland, Akron, Youngstown, Elyria, and Mentor will see a mix of sun and clouds through the afternoon as colder air settles over the region. High temperatures will generally range from the upper 30s near Lake Erie to the mid-40s farther south, including Mansfield and Mount Vernon.
While significant travel impacts are not expected, early morning commuters could notice brief reductions in visibility where flurries develop across parts of northwest Pennsylvania.
The cooler pattern will hold through the day as winds ease and skies gradually brighten. Forecasters say conditions remain relatively quiet through the afternoon, though temperatures will stay well below the mild stretch earlier this week.
