Wilmington, OH – Residents can look forward to warmer weather Sunday as high temperatures rise above freezing for the first time in a week. Strong southwest winds are expected to push highs into the mid-30s, offering some relief from the recent cold snap.

According to the National Weather Service, wind gusts of 20-30 mph will accompany the warmer air, creating potentially hazardous conditions for outdoor activities. Drivers are urged to use caution, especially on Route 68, as gusty winds may reduce visibility and affect vehicle handling.

Sunday’s weather will feature partly sunny skies with a high near 36°F. Winds from the southwest at 11 to 15 mph could gust as high as 26 mph. Sunday night will be mostly cloudy, with lows around 24°F and winds shifting slightly westward.

Looking ahead, the warming trend will continue into next week. Monday’s forecast calls for sunny skies with a high of 36°F, and Tuesday may see temperatures reach 41°F under mostly sunny conditions. By Wednesday, highs could climb to 43°F. Overnight lows will remain in the teens and 20s, keeping nights brisk despite milder daytime temperatures.

Residents should take advantage of the warming trend but remain cautious of strong winds. With several days of calm, sunny conditions ahead, it’s an excellent time to plan outdoor activities while keeping an eye on local weather updates.
