Cleveland, Ohio – Drivers across northern Ohio should expect slick roads and reduced visibility today as steady rain continues through Sunday night, with rainfall totals reaching up to 1 inch in some areas.

According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, widespread showers will stretch from Toledo to Youngstown, bringing cooler daytime highs in the low 50s northwest and milder conditions in the upper 60s southeast. Most locations—including Cleveland, Akron, and Sandusky—will see between 0.5 to 1 inch of rainfall before the system tapers off overnight.

In northwest Ohio, cities like Toledo and Sandusky are forecast to receive the heaviest rainfall, with isolated spots exceeding an inch. Wet pavement and pooling water could impact I-75, I-80, and other major roadways throughout the region. Motorists are urged to slow down and use headlights in low-visibility areas.

Southeastern cities, including Youngstown and Canton, will see slightly warmer temps but still face damp, dreary conditions. Residents should dress accordingly and pack rain gear if heading out.

Rain chances will gradually decrease late tonight, but cooler-than-average temperatures will linger into the start of the workweek. Additional advisories are possible if rain totals climb higher in flood-prone areas.
