Cleveland, OH — Strong spring thunderstorms are expected to move across northern Ohio this evening, bringing severe weather threats to cities from Toledo to Cleveland. The Storm Prediction Center has issued an Enhanced Risk (Level 3 of 5) for areas along the I-75 corridor, including Marion, Celina, and Findlay, between 6 PM and midnight tonight.

According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, residents should prepare for damaging wind gusts over 60 MPH, quarter-sized hail, and the possibility of a brief tornado. The greatest risk is west of I-71, with storms weakening as they move east toward Youngstown.

Timing varies by region:

  • Toledo, Findlay: Storms expected between 6–8 PM
  • Cleveland, Akron, Canton: 8–10 PM
  • Ashtabula, Erie: 10 PM–12 AM
