Wilmington, OH – Rain transitioning to light snow is forecast for Thanksgiving morning in Clinton County, with minimal travel disruptions expected. The National Weather Service warns that snow may accumulate on grassy areas and elevated surfaces, but warm pavement will likely keep roads clear.

According to the National Weather Service, the system will bring rain overnight Wednesday into early Thursday before temperatures drop, causing a rain-snow mix near dawn. Drivers along major roadways like I-71 and US Route 68 should exercise caution, especially during the early morning commute, as visibility may be reduced.

The rest of Thanksgiving Day is expected to remain cold and cloudy, with highs around 42°F. No additional snowfall is expected beyond the morning hours, and any snow accumulation should melt as temperatures rise into the 40s.

The extended forecast shows clear and colder weather heading into the weekend. Thursday night will see lows dipping to 24°F, while Friday brings partly sunny skies and highs near 32°F. By Saturday, a chance of snow returns, with nighttime lows plummeting to 17°F. Sunday remains cold but sunny, with highs around 28°F.

Residents are encouraged to prepare for frigid conditions, especially if traveling for the holiday weekend. If snowfall increases overnight, allow extra time to clear vehicles and drive carefully on untreated roads.
