Wilmington, OH – Travelers across Ohio and Indiana should prepare for hazardous conditions this weekend as dense fog and heavy rain impact the region. Strong winds in Wilmington have already reached over 30 mph, and portions of east-central Indiana and west-central Ohio are experiencing near-zero visibility.
According to the National Weather Service, these conditions will persist overnight into Saturday. Rain will continue across the Ohio River Valley, with gusty winds making travel difficult. Drivers along I-70 and surrounding highways should use extreme caution.
Looking ahead, Saturday will see decreasing clouds, with temperatures warming to 40°F. By Sunday, highs will reach 55°F under mostly cloudy skies. Monday brings a mix of sun and clouds, with highs near 56°F.
Residents should stay alert for changing conditions and check forecasts frequently. If traveling, allow extra time and drive cautiously in fog-prone areas.
