Wilmington, OH – Showers and patchy drizzle dominate today’s forecast, with rain tapering off this morning but cloudy skies lingering. Cooler temperatures and snow chances later this week could impact travel across the Ohio Valley.

According to the National Weather Service, Monday’s high will reach 54°F with winds from the south at 10 to 16 mph. Showers are expected to end by late morning, but drizzle may persist through the day. Overnight, clouds will remain as temperatures dip to 44°F. Drivers should remain cautious as damp conditions and reduced visibility could affect roadways throughout the region, including key routes such as I-71.

Tuesday will bring milder conditions early, with a high near 49°F. Light rain is likely in the morning, transitioning to patchy fog in the afternoon. By Tuesday night, snow chances emerge as temperatures plummet, dropping to 29°F. Forecasters warn that snow accumulation may begin late Tuesday night, with light snowfall likely by Wednesday afternoon.

On Wednesday, temperatures will struggle to climb above freezing, with a high of 34°F. Snow showers are possible after 3 p.m., with total accumulation under half an inch expected. Travel may become hazardous as roads cool rapidly, potentially creating icy conditions.

The weather will stabilize by Thursday, bringing sunny skies and a high near 24°F, but bitterly cold lows of 12°F overnight will follow. Residents should prepare for freezing temperatures and monitor local updates for winter weather advisories.

Stay tuned for further updates and plan ahead for midweek snow impacts.
