Wilmington, OH – The Ohio Valley will face bitter cold temperatures next week as an Arctic air mass moves in. Officials warn of extreme cold conditions beginning Sunday night and lasting through Wednesday, with the coldest temperatures expected Tuesday night.

According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, wind chills will dip below zero, increasing risks for frostbite and hypothermia. Areas near and north of I-70 may face the harshest impacts, with prolonged periods of freezing temperatures possible.

The Arctic front could also affect snowpack regions, with uncertainty surrounding exact snowfall accumulations.

Prepare for the cold by checking weather updates and having emergency supplies on hand. This system is expected to bring some of the season’s lowest temperatures, making early preparation essential.
