Wilmington, OH – A High Wind Warning is in effect for Wilmington and surrounding areas, with gusts up to 55 mph expected to disrupt travel and outdoor activities on Saturday. Showers are also forecast, creating hazardous conditions along U.S. 68 and other major routes.

According to the National Weather Service, the warning is active from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday. Residents should secure loose objects and avoid unnecessary travel during peak wind hours. Showers will begin overnight, continuing throughout the day, with a 70% chance of rain. Drivers should proceed with caution, particularly on U.S. Route 22, where visibility could be reduced by rain and mist.

The weekend will remain rainy, with another chance of thunderstorms Sunday evening. Winds are expected to calm Monday, but rain showers may persist. Looking ahead to next week, conditions will improve, with partly sunny skies and highs reaching 76°F by Tuesday.
