Wilmington, OH – Dry conditions on Friday will give way to widespread rainfall across Wilmington and the Ohio Valley starting Saturday evening. Residents should prepare for potential travel disruptions as rain intensifies overnight.

According to the National Weather Service, the rain is expected to arrive after 7 p.m. on Saturday, continuing into Sunday. Southeast winds could reach up to 24 mph, and rainfall totals may range between a quarter and half an inch. By Sunday, the high temperature will reach 49 degrees, accompanied by steady rain throughout the day.

The forecast shows rain persisting through Monday, with highs peaking near 57 degrees before cooler air moves in Monday night. Motorists along US-68 and other key roadways should expect wet pavement and reduced visibility, especially during evening hours. Gusty winds may also pose hazards for high-profile vehicles.

Looking ahead, Tuesday promises a break from the rain with mostly sunny skies and highs near 47 degrees. However, rain chances return Wednesday, bringing another round of potentially disruptive weather.

Residents are encouraged to check local forecasts frequently and plan ahead for weekend activities and travel. Drivers should reduce speeds and allow extra following distance on rain-slicked roads.
