Cleveland, Ohio – Thunderstorms are on track to impact Cleveland and surrounding areas Wednesday, with rain and gusty winds likely by mid-afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service, Cleveland will see its highest chance for storms between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday, followed by lingering showers into the night. Winds from the west will reach 5 to 7 mph, and highs will top out near 66°F. Rainfall totals should stay below a tenth of an inch—unless thunderstorms intensify.

Drivers along I-90 and I-71 should stay alert during the late afternoon commute as wet roads and reduced visibility may slow travel. Localized ponding and slick spots are possible near underpasses and low-lying areas.

After the midweek mess, skies begin to clear Thursday with a mostly sunny high near 55°F. Thursday night will turn cooler, with lows around 44°F. By Friday, spring returns in full: Cleveland climbs back to 61°F under clear skies, with a calm weekend expected.

Looking ahead, here’s the 5-day Cleveland SPRING weather forecast:

  • Thursday: High 55°F, slight shower chance
  • Friday: Sunny, high near 61°F
  • Saturday: Clear skies, high around 70°F
  • Sunday: Sunny and 73°F
  • Monday: Dry and bright, high near 78°F
