Ohio – Wet snowflakes cling to car windshields across Cincinnati this morning, and temperatures hover near 32 degrees. Slushy patches are forming on bridges and overpasses as a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 11 a.m.

According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, mixed precipitation will continue through midmorning across southwest Ohio, northern Kentucky, and southeast Indiana. Snow and sleet accumulations may reach up to one inch, with ice totals near one-tenth of an inch. Even light icing can make elevated roads treacherous.

Road crews are treating major corridors, but slick spots persist along I-71, I-75, I-275, and the Brent Spence Bridge. Slow down and increase following distance. Side streets and untreated sidewalks remain especially slippery. Watch your footing on steps and driveways.

Temperatures rise to 37 degrees this afternoon, changing lingering snow and sleet to cold rain. Rain continues tonight, and patchy fog may reduce visibility. Tuesday brings a sharp warm-up, with highs soaring to 60 degrees and steady rain likely. Repeated rainfall through midweek could total over an inch, increasing the risk of ponding and minor flooding in low-lying areas.

By Wednesday, highs surge to 68 degrees, followed by near 70 Thursday. That’s a dramatic March turnaround from this morning’s icy start. Clocks spring ahead at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 8, adding longer evenings and reinforcing early spring vibes across the Tri-State.
