Cleveland, OH – A winter storm continues to bring heavy snow and strong winds to northern Ohio and western Pennsylvania, with hazardous conditions expected to last until 7 a.m. Monday.
According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, snowfall between 2 and 5 inches is forecast for Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, and Ashtabula counties in Ohio. In Pennsylvania, Crawford and Erie counties could see up to 5 inches. Winds gusting up to 40 mph will reduce visibility to under a quarter-mile at times, making travel difficult.
Snow will intensify this evening, with blowing snow further impacting roads and bridges, especially during the Monday morning commute. The storm is expected to taper off to light snow showers late tonight.
Motorists are urged to delay unnecessary travel. The Ohio Department of Transportation and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advise carrying emergency supplies, including flashlights, food, and water. Visit ohgo.com and 511pa.com for updated road conditions.
